Who is "Hair By Letta?"

Shaletta (Shu-Lee-duh) Norwood, better known to some as Letta Evette, and to others, as "Hair By Letta"; is a Beauty Entrepreneur of 10 plus years; a Professor teaching Political Science and a Philanthropist who believes in business development and community building as she does host the Hair By Letta Business Workshop annually for women entrepreneurs seeking to grow in business.

 Letta attended cosmetology school while in high school, and utilized her cosmetology license during college to obtain, both, her bachelor's degree in Journalism and her master's degree in Political Science. While going for her master's degree, Letta studied hair politics with an interest in the CROWN Act (legislation to end hair discrimination against Black women in the workplace), and since then, Letta has made it her mission to educate her clients about the CROWN Act while also styling their hair. 

As a hair stylist, Letta is extremely personable. She loves to make her clients laugh; she tries her best to be there for them during tough times, and once their service is complete, she looks forward to them leaving her chair feeling beyond satisfied with their hair style, eager to book their next appointment. While Letta is versatile within her craft, she specializes in natural hair care maintenance, weave installments, hair cuts, hair coloring, and hair styling services. Essentially, Letta's main mission is to enhance the beauty of women, while encouraging them to cherish and admire the beauty they naturally possess.
